Over the last several months, I had the opportunity to interview some great people. I decided to revisit some of their words here. Enjoy!

"The only thing that keeps me awake at night is, how do members justify to their bosses spending so much time on RBC? I remember the same people posting on ERE all the time and thinking, 'How do they justify it?' I am moving down the path to build some interesting tools that recruiters can use and the destinations where these things can fit." ~Jason Davis

"Hard copy resumes will be gone five years from now, a thing of the past. I would much rather read their blogs or see what conferences they have attended. Resumes are such fluff, anyway. I want to know more, I want to dig deeper. And the line between life and work is beginning to blur. An intersection of where we are socially." ~Ragan Kellams

"Networking while fully employed is imperative. Use online networks to keep their brand out there, current. Everyone is unique and each should market themselves as an expert. Recruiters look for the needle, they are always looking for the expert. You have to be an extrovert. The best thing to say? Conquer the fear of being able to sell yourself and conquer the fear of rejection. There is a space for everyone." ~Martin Buckland

"People in the recruitment industry need to become more consultative. This requires a fundamental shift in how we perceive ourselves. Why would we do anything for free? We need to get out of the transactional mindset and price it as a professional service. We broker relationships that help companies grow; approach it with ethics and quality. The solutions that are good for recruitment must be good for the candidate and client." ~Kathleen Quinn Votaw

"If your intentions are good, if your clarity is high, then at least the consequences of an interaction can be better aligned with your values." ~Claudia Faust

Take advantage of the teachers around RBC. I don't believe you can ever know too much.

Thanks for this post Rayanne. I found JD's quote really interesting... now my world has gotten busier, I have had to drag myself away and build activity again....
